Muzeum Farmacji w Łodzi

The Museum of Pharmacy in Łódź is located in the building that was built in 1840 with a specific purpose to house the first Pharmacy in the city. The place itself, and the exhibits contained within, allow the public to learn about the history of pharmaceutical developments of the 19th and early 20th century, in the context of the rapidly developing multi-cultural industrial settlement that was Łódź. The museum offers guided tours as well as interactive workshops for adults and children, both in Polish and English. For the reasons above the Museum of Pharmacy in Łódź is an important heritage site in both regional and European context, and it serves an important function of educating the general public about the history of pharmacy and its socio-cultural aspects.
