During the ceremony, the founding partners signed the founding act and statutes, formally establishing the association.
The creation of the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis Association marked the beginning of an international cultural cooperation initiative dedicated to the heritage of historic pharmacies, medicinal plants and the traditions of materia medica.
Foundation ceremony at the Centre Cultural La Nau
The founding ceremony took place at the Centre Cultural La Nau, the historic building of the Universitat de València, one of the oldest universities in Spain and an important cultural centre of the city.
The event brought together representatives of universities, cultural institutions and local administrations committed to promoting European cultural heritage and interdisciplinary research in the fields of pharmacy history, botany and cultural studies.
The signature of the founding act officially established the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis Association, creating the institutional framework for an international network dedicated to the study and enhancement of the European legacy of historic pharmacies and medicinal plants.

Purpose of the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis Association

The foundation of the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis Association in Valencia in 2021 represents the institutional starting point of the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis initiative.
