
Semmelweis Museum, Library and Archive of the History of Medicine. Budapest, Hungary
On September 24, 2024, the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis (AIS) network convened its Steering Committee Meeting in Budapest, Hungary
The meeting was hosted by the Semmelweis Museum, Library and Archive of the History of Medicine (Semmelweis Orvostörténeti Múzeum, Könyvtár és Levéltár), coordinated by the museum's director, Benedek Varga.
The meeting served as a crucial platform for sharing ideas, aligning goals, and define actions especially in light of the recent “Cultural Route of the Council of Europe” Certification and in light of the fact the network is continuing to grow.
Key points discussed during the meeting included:
- Discussion on the EPA’ s Recommendations and organization of the following steps to address them.
- Discussion on expanding the network to include new members and institutions
- Visibility and Communication Guidelines and Strategy
- Enhancement of internal communication infrastructure to optimize information dissemination and resource sharing among network members
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to advancing the goals of the AIS network and further enhancing its impact across Europe. Participants expressed enthusiasm about the next steps and the ongoing collaboration, highlighting the importance of sustained cooperation to promote cultural heritage and sustainable development.
