Scientific collection of medicinal plants of Scientific Sector Medicinal (Aromatic) Plants (MAPs) of Department of Science at the Botanical Garden, Vytautas Magnus University, carried out since 1924, contains more then 900 species of MAPs. That is an object of scientific, project and studies activities. Complex, innovative, interdisciplinary scientific work is being carried out for research of biologically active substances of MAPs. The MAP's Department is a unique part of the preserved cultural Heritage of Lithuania.
