Discover Pharmacy Museum – 1st Edition “Museum highlights”

On the occasion of the International Museum Day 2022 the Aromas Itinerarium Salutis coordinates a chain of  short videos published as reels of Instagram on the official profile @aromas.itinerarium.salutis.

In each video, directors, curators and researchers of pharmacy museums and collections present an object from the collection and explain its nature in relation to the place and the history of pharmacy.

Also, the event was an opportunity to demonstrate the connection and strengthen the link between the pharmacy museums that in recent months signed the expression of interest to adhere to the European Route of Historic Pharmacies and Medicinal Gardens that will be candidate for the certification of Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.

We thank for the participation: the Ancient Serristori Apothecary (Municipality of Figline Valdarno, Italy) and the person in charge Carlo Benedetti – Culture and Territorial Marketing Service of the Municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno (FI), the Municipal Museum of Llivia – Esteve Pharmacy (Spain) and his director Gerard Cunill, the National History Museum of Transylvania (Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and Ana-Maria Gruia, curator in charge of the pharmacy collection, the Pharmacy Museum in Roccavaldina (Italy) and Simona Pollino, Deputy mayor of the Municipality of Roccavaldina, the Santa María la Real de Oseira Monastery (Ourense, Spain) and Miguel Álvarez Soaje, pharmacist and executive director of Galicia Slow Tour, the Hispanic Pharmacy Museum of the Complutense University of Madrid and its curator Alejandra Gómez Martín and the Spezieria of Santa Maria della Scala and Isabella Leone, researcher at the Centro Universitario Cattolico of Rome, Italy.
